About Dr. Morris

Dr. Anne Morris is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in anxiety and depression in adolescents and adults. She is also a faculty member at Southern Methodist University.

Originally from Dallas, TX, Dr. Morris graduated from The Hockaday School and then completed her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, double majoring in psychology and spanish. She then received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling Psychology and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Methodist University, an APA-accredited program. Dr. Morris completed her APA-accredited internship at the Vanderbilt University – Department of Veterans Affairs Consortium where she provided therapy in the Adult Psychiatry program of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center as well as conducted forensic assessments related to Fitness for Duty and Competency to Stand Trial evaluations.

Specializing in providing research-based treatment to individuals, couples, and families.

Dr. Morris has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings including the Family Studies Center-UT Southwestern, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center, and the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She has experience treating mood and anxiety-related disorders (such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) as well as eating disorders and substance abuse.  In addition, she has experience working with couples and families facing difficulties in their relationships, whether between partners or the parent-child dynamic. In addition to her practice, she is currently an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Methodist University, supervising doctoral students with clinical cases.
